W. Stephen ‘Steve’
Stephen “Steve” Sievers entered into eternal life on April 2, 2013, at
the age of 61. Steve passed away at home, surrounded by his family and
ending his courageous battle against lung cancer.
He was the loving fiancé of Susan Ryan; beloved father of Matt, John
(Amanda), Ted and Maggie; and brother of Barbara Craig and Susan Pharo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter “Slim” and Mildred
“Millie” Sievers; and a sister, Bonnie Ryan.
Steve was born in Milwaukee. Just two years after graduating from
Nicolet High School in Glendale (1969), Steve was one of the founders of
Lakeside Landscape Corp. Through his dedication and leadership, Lakeside
has grown into one of the leading landscaping firms in metro Milwaukee.
Steve proudly passed ownership of the company to his sons, John and Ted,
Over the last 42 years, as the owner of a small business in the North
Shore area, Steve created many friendships in the communities he
serviced. He will be missed by many.
When not managing Lakeside, Steve enjoyed everything outdoors. He was an
avid skier and an active member of the Milwaukee Curling Club. He
enjoyed the many hours spent riding his Harley with his fiancé, Susan,
and friends in the Suburban Harley Chapter.
Steve cherished his experiences while traveling the world with Susan and
the many moments he spent with his four children. A man to remember by
his smile, blue eyes, guidance, genuine sense of humor and calm
demeanor, Steve made his imprint on all that knew him.
