Paul F. Thomas, 70|
F. Thomas, 70, went home with Godís Angels, Sunday, April 7, 2013, at
The Kathy Hospice, after a three-week battle with brain cancer. He was
born on July 12, 1942, to Frank and Josephine (nee Knetzger) Thomas in
Hartford. Paul married Bonnie Kreilkamp at St. Kilianís Church in
Hartford on June 1, 1968.
Paul lived all 70 years on the family farm and retired from farming in
1997 and then worked for the Hartford Country Club maintenance lawn care
until 2010. He was a life member of St. Johnís Church in Rubicon and
became a member of their Holy Name and Usher Society. Paul served on the
Rubicon Town Board as supervisor for 16 years, the Woodland Volunteer
Fire Department for 50 years and was a Catholic Financial Life Officer.
Among his devotion to the church, the farm and other jobs, he was a
member of the Restored Antique Tractor Club and the Iron Ridge Golden
Paul loved his 10-mile radius of Rubicon where he went fishing and kept
all he caught (no throw-backs.) He also enjoyed collecting many farm
toys, riding his lawn mower and just being with his family, especially
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie of 45 years; cherished children
Juliane (Shane) Rank of Gillett, Danny (Vicki) Thomas of Lomira, and
Sara Thomas of Campbellsport; proud Grandpa of Kallie, Evan, Nate,
Paige, Lydia and Eli; sisters Collette (Vernon) Seefeld of Campbellsport
and Ann (Grover) Braun of West Bend; and siblings-in-law Larry (Monica)
Kreilkamp of Rubicon and Colleen Kreilkamp of Milwaukee. He is further
survived by other dear relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Josephine Thomas and
his in-laws Orville and Lila Jean Kreilkamp.
Mass of Christian Burial for Paul will be held Friday, April 12, 2013,
at 7 p.m. at St. Johnís Church, Rubicon, with the Rev. Al Van Beek
officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the
church from 3Ė7 p.m. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
Internment will take place at St. Johnís Cemetery, Rubicon on Saturday,
April 13, 2012, at 10 a.m.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the wonderful
nurses on the third floor and ICU at the Grafton Aurora Hospital and to
the staff at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
