Paul F. Thomas, 70

Paul F. Thomas, 70, went home with Godís Angels, Sunday, April 7, 2013, at The Kathy Hospice, after a three-week battle with brain cancer. He was born on July 12, 1942, to Frank and Josephine (nee Knetzger) Thomas in Hartford. Paul married Bonnie Kreilkamp at St. Kilianís Church in Hartford on June 1, 1968.

Paul lived all 70 years on the family farm and retired from farming in 1997 and then worked for the Hartford Country Club maintenance lawn care until 2010. He was a life member of St. Johnís Church in Rubicon and became a member of their Holy Name and Usher Society. Paul served on the Rubicon Town Board as supervisor for 16 years, the Woodland Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years and was a Catholic Financial Life Officer. Among his devotion to the church, the farm and other jobs, he was a member of the Restored Antique Tractor Club and the Iron Ridge Golden Youth Seniors.

Paul loved his 10-mile radius of Rubicon where he went fishing and kept all he caught (no throw-backs.) He also enjoyed collecting many farm toys, riding his lawn mower and just being with his family, especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie of 45 years; cherished children Juliane (Shane) Rank of Gillett, Danny (Vicki) Thomas of Lomira, and Sara Thomas of Campbellsport; proud Grandpa of Kallie, Evan, Nate, Paige, Lydia and Eli; sisters Collette (Vernon) Seefeld of Campbellsport and Ann (Grover) Braun of West Bend; and siblings-in-law Larry (Monica) Kreilkamp of Rubicon and Colleen Kreilkamp of Milwaukee. He is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Josephine Thomas and his in-laws Orville and Lila Jean Kreilkamp.

Mass of Christian Burial for Paul will be held Friday, April 12, 2013, at 7 p.m. at St. Johnís Church, Rubicon, with the Rev. Al Van Beek officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the church from 3Ė7 p.m. Memorials to the family are appreciated.

Internment will take place at St. Johnís Cemetery, Rubicon on Saturday, April 13, 2012, at 10 a.m.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the wonderful nurses on the third floor and ICU at the Grafton Aurora Hospital and to the staff at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
