Lloyd J. Treutel, 86, of West Bend died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the Kathy Hospice. He was born March 1, 1927, in Marshfield to the late J. Andrew and Gertrude (nee Jirschele) Treutel.

He was united in marriage to Violet M. Dortman on July 17, 1954, in Marshfield. She preceded him in death on June 16, 2009.

Lloyd was the manager of Fleet Farm in West Bend for 27 years, retiring in 1987. He was an active member of Holy Angels Church. He enjoyed ushering, helping decorate the church for Christmas, volunteering his time at the Festival of Angels and working in the cemetery. He was also a member of the Senior Center and helped to prepare Meals on Wheels.

He enjoyed golfing and playing cards.

Lloyd’s family was very important to him. He is survived by his six children: Steven (Julie) of Spring Valley, Minn., Kathrine (Roger) Breuer of West Bend, Jodeen (Curtis) Casetta of West Bend, Lisa (Ralph) Zeit of West Bend, Sheila (Christopher) Jurss of Elmhurst, Ill. and Jeanette (Ronald) Spieth of West Bend, 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother James (Noreen) of Brookfield, his sister Ardele Eckes of Marshfield, his brother-inlaw Ralph Pokalus of Marshfield, and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, J. Andrew and Gertrude Treutel, his wife Violet, his granddaughter Laura David, two sisters: Thelma Pokalus and Elaine Wistrom, his brother David, his sister-in-law Sharon Treutel; and two brothers-in-law: Robert Wistrom and Carl Eckes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Brittain presiding. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends for a period of visitation on Saturday, at the church only from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Mass or memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.
