Carmela ‘Lina’ Ianni,
Carmela "Lina" Ianni (nee Paladino), a resident of Cudahy, was born in Taurianova, Italy, on Aug. 4, 1930, and entered into eternal life on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the age of 82.
She was the beloved wife of the late Domenic Ianni; loving mother of Mary (Martin) Frederiksen of Brookfield, Vince Ianni of Cudahy and Anna (John) Potter of Mequon; proud grandmother of Joseph and Alexandra Rooney, and Stefania and Nicholas Potter; special sister of Andrew (Maria) Paladino of Oak Creek, the late Domenic (Lina) Paladino of Oak Creek, Grazietta (the late Nuccio) Iannolo of Rome, Italy, Antonio (Janice) Paladino of Cudahy, Maria (the late Domenic) Grillo of St. Louis and Lidia (Salvatore) Loprete of Taurianova, Italy; dear sister-in-law of Rosaria Caia of Argentina, the late Caterina (the late Vincenzo) Fondacaro and Letizia (the late
Vincenzo) Ciccone of Italy. She is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives both here and in Italy.
Visitation at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 10280 North Port Washington Road, Mequon, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, and again on Friday, Feb. 8, from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity of the Lord Catholic Church, 3672 East Plankinton Ave., Cudahy.
Interment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Catholic Cemetery in Cudahy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carmela’s name should be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 620 South 76th St., Suite 160, Milwaukee WI 53214.
