Rita Elaine Barnett, 76, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Prairie Ridge in Waupun. Rita was born the daughter of John and Vera Barnett on Aug. 2, 1936. She graduated from Waupun High School in 1954 and retired from AT&T in 1991. She has resided in West Bend for several years.

Rita is survived by her sister, Patricia (Ron) Bruesch of Waupun, and a brother, Wayne (Betty) Barnett of Waukesha; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Rita is also survived by her dear friend, Jo Schardt of Glendale. Rita is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
