LaVonne M. Schuett,
50
LaVonne M. Schuett (nee Holme), 50, of Erin, passed away surrounded by
her family on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, after suffering multiple strokes.
LaVonne was born Sept. 29, 1962 in Libertyville, Ill. to James and
Beatrice (nee Hjort) Holme. She was united in marriage to Douglass
Schuett.
LaVonne was a member of St. Olaf’s Lutheran Church in Rubicon. She
enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, fishing, and
deer hunting. She was always willing to lend an ear and genuinely cared
for people.
LaVonne is survived by her husband Douglass; daughter Chelsea, son Alex;
sisters Janet (Hank) Beadle, Dondee (Josh) Maddox, Cynthia Jackson, and
Williamina Holme. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents, James and Beatrice,
sister, Carolyn VanDuser, motherin- law, Barbara Schuett, sister-
in-law, Sherri Schuett and her brother-in-law, Curtiss Schuett.
Funeral services for LaVonne will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at
10:30 a.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, W653 Roosevelt Road, Rubicon,
with the Rev. Matt Lee officiating. The family will greet relatives and
friends on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral
Home, Hartford, and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment to follow at St. Olaf’s Cemetery.
Memorials to the family or St. Olaf’s Building Fund would be
appreciated.
