Roxanne
Kostka, Loma, Colo., passed away Feb. 18, 2013, she was 60. Roxanne was
born on June 17, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from the union of Milton
and Grace Gerds. She graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee and
later married Thomas J. Kostka, he preceded her in death on Nov. 21,
2007, in West Bend.
Roxanne lived the majority of her life in Slinger and was a proud
resident. She loved her job at the local Piggly Wiggly for 16 years as a
cashier and made many friends. Upon retirement in 2012, Roxanne moved to
Loma, Colo. to experience a different kind of living, close to the
mountains and sunny days.
Roxanne was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Slinger. She
was a big supporter of Bassett Buddies Rescue and loved spending time
with her grandchildren, Chloe and Carter. She enjoyed bowling, sewing,
car racing and bowling activities. Roxanne leaves behind two daughters:
Jennifer (Travis) Cantrall of Loma, Colo. and Katrina Kostka and her
fiancé; James Swan of Genoa City, Wis., and her loving Bassett companion
Aggie.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at St
John`s United Church of Christ, 520 W. Washington St., Slinger, WI
53086. A visitation time will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the church, prior
to services.
