Theresa M. Delich,
83
The angels came for Theresa M. Delich on Dec. 24, 2012 as she passed
away peacefully at Cedar Community in West Bend, where she last resided.
She was born on Nov. 7, 1929 in Chicago to the late Louis and Barbara
(nee Frustacci) Amendola and she grew up in the Bridgeport area of
Chicago. After her marriage to John Delich, she raised their family in
Glen Ellyn, Ill.
She later became actively involved politically and spent much time
helping others. Theresa was an elected official for Milton Township in
DuPage County, Ill., as well as serving on the coroner’s jury for
several years.
She and her husband, John, moved to West Bend to spend their remaining
years living near their daughter, Jeannie, and son-in-law, Barry. While
she was under the care of the Cedar Community staff she was grateful and
content. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and she
touched the lives of many. We will all miss her terribly.
She is survived by her husband, John; four children, John (Linda) Delich
of Morton, Ill., Jeannie (Barry) Scott of West Bend, Michael Delich of
Wheaton, Ill. and Carrie Delich of Crystal Lake, Ill.; four
grandchildren, John (Holly) Delich, Greg Delich, Kelly (Scott Rosenberg)
Scott, and Michael (Bekah) Scott; two great-grandchildren, Levi and
Landon Delich; her twin sister, Lorraine (Al) Butera of Chicago; other
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Tony Amendola
and Michael Amendola.
A memorial service in remembrance of Theresa will be held on Saturday,
Jan. 12, 2013 at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington
St., West Bend. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. with the funeral
service to follow at 3 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will be
held at the home of her daughter, Jeannie, and son-in-law, Barry, in
West Bend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Cedar Community Partners in Caring
(5595 Highway Z, West Bend, WI 53095) would be appreciated. Online
condolences may be expressed at
