Mark Shaw, 73
Mark
Shaw, 73, of Kewaskum, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Gables
of Waldo in Waldo, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 23, 1939, in Kewaunee County, the son of the late
Raymond and Mildred (Hunsader) Shaw and on Oct. 24, 1959, he was united
in marriage to Donna Fameree at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Maplewood.
Donna preceded Mark in death on July 3, 2003.
Mark was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels and
served his country in the U.S. Army. Mark was an avid hunter of any kind
of game. He collected outdoors and hunting items at flea markets that he
enjoyed going to. Most of all, he loved his wife, Donna, very dearly.
Those Mark leaves behind to cherish his memory include four children,
Colleen (Scott) McKay of Kewaskum, Monty (Jennifer) Shaw of Chicago,
Marty (Teresa) Shaw of New London and Miles (Terese) Shaw of the town of
Greenbush; 14 grandchildren, Dustin (Jenny), Mindy and Cory McKay,
Nicholas (Maria), Melissa, Matt, Emily, Jessica, Wendy, Lily, Oliver,
Jordan, Jared and Jack Shaw; two great-grandchildren, Vanessa and J.J.
Jackson; three brothers, Bernard (Janet) Shaw of Luxemburg, Gene (Faith)
Shaw of Algoma and Clayton (Sue) Shaw of Janesville; two sisters,
Carolyn (Don) Chike of Kenosha and Janet (Fenton) Wierich of Slovan; and
other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mark was preceded in death by his
parents-inlaw, Nora and Evangeline Fameree; a brother, Jim Shaw; a
niece, Jennifer Gilbert and a nephew, Benjamin Shaw.
Memorial services for Mark will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5,
2013, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum with Deacon Ralph Horner
officiating. Military honor rites by members of the Robert G. Romaine
American Legion Post 384 Kewaskum will follow the service.
Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Michael’s Catholic Church
Cemetery in St. Michaels.
Mark’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from
11 a.m. until the time of services.
