Ellenbecker, 67
Kristine
A. Ellenbecker (nee Decker), 67, of Allenton, passed away Saturday, Dec.
29, 2012, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, surrounded by her loving
family. Kristine was born May 20, 1945, in Dorchester to Frank and Neva
(nee Sulik) Decker. She graduated the class of 1963 from Dor-Abby High
School. It was there that she met the love of her life, Roger
Ellenbecker. On Feb. 19, 1966, Kris and Roger were married at St. Louis
Catholic Church in Dorchester.
In addition to being a devoted wife, Kris cherished her children and
grandchildren. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, cooking, day
trips, corresponding with friends and, above all, spending time with her
family.
Kris was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Allenton where she
was active in the Human Concerns Committee. She enjoyed volunteering
wherever needed. After raising her children, Kris worked as an
embroidery machine operator, retiring from A Stitch In Time in West
Bend.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 46 years, Roger; her
children Kelly Ellenbecker of Kewaskum, and Craig (Mary) Ellenbecker of
Cascade; her cherished grandchildren, Zachary Bingen (fiancée Emma
Sturm) of Madison, Chelsea Bingen of Kewaskum, Megan, Emily and Samuel
Ellenbecker of Cascade; her sisters Claudette Saladin of Dorchester and
Rachel Louret of Medford; and her brothers Joe (Judy) Decker of
Schofield and Mike (Connie) Decker of Dorchester. She is further
survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other
relatives and many dear friends.
Kris was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Fred Decker.
A memorial Mass for Kris will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at 11
a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, 215 Main St., Allenton. The Rev.
Michael Wild and the Rev. Richard Stoffel will concelebrate. Family will
greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until
the mass at 11 a.m.
A memorial Mass will also be held at a future date at St. Louis Catholic
Church in Dorchester, along with burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials
to Resurrection Parish Human Concerns Committee or Resurrection Parish
are appreciated.
