William L. Reinke, 76|
William L. Reinke of Grafton passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 76 on Jan. 6, 2013, at Horizon Hospice in Mequon.
Bill was born in Shawano on June 10, 1936, the son of Matthew and LaVerne (nee Herm) Reinke, who both preceded him in death. Bill was united in marriage to Karen (nee Katzenmeyer) on Nov. 9, 1957, and recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force from Oct. 15, 1955, to July 23, 1959.
Bill worked as a marketing manager for the Eaton Corp. (formerly Cutler Hammer) for 34 years. Bill was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he served as a head usher for many years.
He was also a member of the Ozaukee Senior Golf League. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family. Bill loved working in his yard, along with repairing and refinishing anything that needed fixing. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed being a Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packers fan. Bill traveled all over the world for business and pleasure.
Bill is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Vicki (Charles) Linzmeyer and Bradley (Claire) Reinke; grandchildren, Jessica (Joseph) Szpak, Ryan (Katrina) Linzmeyer, Carly Reinke and Julia Reinke; brother, Charles (Sherry) Reinke; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many caring friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington Ave., Grafton. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Aurora Cancer Center are appreciated.
