Ronald William Heuer, 77, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Sept. 5, 1935 in Bonduel to the late John and Lima (Plautz) Heuer.

On Oct. 22, 1955 Ron married Magdalene Carol Eggert at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Ron was an extrovert with a quick humor, a great smile and a hearty laugh. His career naturally gravitated to sales and management. He spent his career working in the sewing machine business – selling, managing stores, and then spent 30 years owning and operating his own business in West Bend and Fond du Lac.

His greatest love, though, was for his wife Maggie, and they wrote a wonderful story together. Ron loved playing softball and baseball, and playing cards. He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers fan.

Ron is survived by Maggie, his wife of 57 years; three children, Debra (Don) Womack, White Bear Lake, Minn., Kim (Steve) Powell, West Bend, and Jeff (Cindy) Heuer, Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Joshua (Pamela) Chevallier­Halblieb, Jessica (Robert) Powell, Rory (Rachel) Powell, Jeff Heuer Jr., Joe Heuer, and Bryce Heuer; and step-grandchildren, Channing (Heather) Womack and Nathan (Kristen) Womack. Ron is also survived by a sister and brother, Arlene (Bernie) Ebben and David (Deloris) Heuer; one brother-in-law, Frank Heller, brothers-inlaw and sisters-in-law, Kenny (Mavis) Eggert, Altibel Renke, Audry Busch, and Violet (Martin) Busch. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mildred Heller, and brothers-in-law and sisters in-law, Donald and Shirley Eggert, Arthea and Leonard Bonnin, and Luther Busch.

Visitation: Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 from noon-2 p.m. at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, 55 N. Prairie Road, Fond du Lac.

Funeral: Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Michael Weigand officiating. Cremation has taken place.
