Doreen A. Kienast (nee Lofy), 85, of West Bend, formerly of Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013.

Doreen was born on Sept. 16, 1927 in St. Augustine (Town of Erin) to Henry and Lena (nee Kreuser) Lofy Sr. She married Gilbert Kienast on Aug. 24, 1960 at Holy Hill.

Doreen is survived by her sister-in-law Frances Lofy of Hubertus. She is the dear aunt of Richard (Pam) Roggenbauer of Hartford, Mary (Don) Geddeis of Beaver Dam, Tom (Nancy) Roggenbauer of Liberty, S.C., Karen (Gary) Santella of Chicago, Janet (Jon) Kapitz of Cottage Grove, Minn., John (Tammy) Lofy of Merrill, and Jean (Brian) Durkin of Marshfield, Mass. She is further survived by numerous grand-nephews and grand-nieces; special friend Joseph Mohr; and other relatives and dear friends. Doreen is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert, parents Henry and Lena, sisters Genevieve Lofy and Henrietta Roggenbauer, and brother Henry Lofy Jr.

A memorial service for Doreen will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, in West Bend. Gathering will be from 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. Interment of cremains will take place at St. Kilian Catholic Cemetery in Hartford at a later date.
