Florence J. McDonald (nee Kempen) found eternal peace on her 90th birthday, Jan. 25, 2013. She was a Saylesville School administrator and principal (Rubicon) of 24 years; inspirational educator, leader, and mother that is survived by 46 family members who loved her dearly and whom she devoted her talents and encouragement to each one individually; lobbyist of education, taught exercise class at the Slinger Senior Community Center from age 67 up until her death. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon, and 12 of her 14 siblings.
She is survived by her seven children and their families: Sue Leider (John), Jim McDonald (Diana), Kadee Stahmer (Richard), Sherry Mattila (Gary), Randy McDonald (Diane), Brian McDonald (Anita) and Douglas McDonald (Nancy). Grandchildren: Brenda Zignego (Joe), Scott Leider (Cyndi), David Leider (Shanna), Sara Lebeck (Greg), Kerry Martiny (Kevin), Keith McDonald (Kelly), Kevin McDonald, Paul Stahmer, Tom Stahmer, Michelle Domke, Ryan Domke, James Radish (Heidi), Julie Mc-Donald, Janine McDonald, Nathan McDonald and Megan McDonald. Great-grandchildren: Ashley (Joe), Benita, Colin, Denise, Emily, Fred, Gust, Riley, Ethan, Henry, Ian, Hannah, Cieara, Josephine, Breleigh, Kateri, Reese, Peyton, Gavin, Logan and Jocelyn; Great-great grandchildren Oliver and Dan. Florence was well respected by all who knew her and will be deeply missed as she was an inspiration to many. A Mass of Christian Burial for Florence will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at St. Peterís Catholic Church, 200 E. Washington St. in Slinger with the Rev. Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be from 4-6:45 p.m. with a vigil at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend. Interment will follow mass at New St. Peterís Catholic Cemetery.
