Annemarie Prefontaine (nee Rupp), 99, passed away on Tuesday, July 2,
2013. She was born in Nueremburg, Germany on May 7, 1914, to Joseph and
Barbara (nee Suda) Rupp. She married Richard Beikiefer who was a pilot
and died in WWII. Annemarie came to the USA after WWII and became a U.S.
citizen. She worked at the Linden Inn on Big Cedar Lake then was
employed as an executive secretary and bookkeeper for a machine
manufacturing company in Menomonee Falls. She married Dr. Kenneth
Prefontaine, MD, in 1953 and assisted him with his medical practice in
Slinger until his retirement in 1989. The couple owned and operated an
apple orchard on Cedar Creek Drive for over 15 years. Annemarie was a
member of St. Peterís Catholic Church of Slinger. She loved nature and
all it had to offer. She was a go-to person that would always take time
to listen and if requested, would share learned advice.
She is survived by two nephews who live in Germany, Gerhard Meier and
Joachim Rupp; step-daughter, Julie Carlsen; several step-grandchildren
and step great-grandchildren; many dear friends and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, parents, and siblings.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 6 p.m.
at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend (1420 W. Paradise Drive)
with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. The visitation will be held on
Wednesday, July 10th at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of
service at 6:00 PM. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in
Annemarieís friends would like to thank the staff of Silverbrook at
Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care.
