Inez Bablitch, 70, of West Bend, formerly of Slinger, died on Wednesday,
July 10, 2013. She was born in Stevens Point on Aug. 14, 1942, to John
A. and Inez (Manning) Bablitch who preceded her in death. She is
survived by her brothers Douglas (Polly) of Pembine, Stephen (Mary
Skalecki) of Hales Corners and John (JoAnn) of Minneapolis, and nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Maureen was employed for many years at the West Bend News. In spite of
losing her hearing at age one, due to meningitis, she lived with great
spirit and independence in a hearing world. She was a talented artist
and generous family member. The family is grateful for the support
Maureen received from various staff at Washington County Human Services.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday,
July 19, 2013, at St. Peterís Catholic Church (200 E. Washington St. in
Slinger) with the Rev. Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be
held at the church on Friday, July 19 from 10-11 a.m. Interment of
cremains will follow mass at Old St. Peterís Catholic Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers, memorials preferred are to The Threshold Inc. (600 Rolfs
Ave., West Bend, WI 53090).
