Jane Mercier Beck,
Jane Mercier Beck (nee Baker), a Cedarburg resident who was born Oct. 22, 1944, passed away the evening of June 30, 2013, in Batavia, N.Y., during a trip with her husband Bruce, while pursuing one of her passions and businesses, antique buttons.
Jane is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bruce Beck; her son, Matthew “Matt” (Janet) Mercier, Windermere, Fla.; her son, Peter “Pete” (Wendy Kemp) Mercier, Stansbury Park, Utah; and her three grandchildren, Lucas and Celia Mercier and Kendahl Kemp.
Jane is also survived by her siblings: sister, Judith “Judy” Kallenbach, St. Charles, Ill.; brothers, James “Jim” (LLorel) Baker, Cedarburg; Byron “Ronnie” (Dorothy “Dottie”) Baker, Camden, Del.; and many wellloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick “Fritz” Baker and Flora “Flo” Baker (née Kent), and her first husband, Leroy John “Jack” Mercier. A reception celebrating Jane’s life will be held on Sunday, July 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cedarburg Cultural Center, W62 N546 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, Wis., 53012.
