Darlene L. Kutz, 78

Darlene L. Kutz (nee Wilson), 78, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013, after a long battle with Parkinson’sDisease. Darlene was born on Sept. 21, 1934, in Dows, Iowa, to Rena (nee Winslow) Wilson. She graduated from Beloit High School, Class of 1952, and worked at the Brown Swiss Company. Darlene married Vernon Kutz on Jan. 29, 1955, in Janesville. Darlene was a dedicated employee as a receptionist of The Threshold, Inc. for more than 20 years.

She loved to cook and bake desserts and play a good game of Canasta. Darlene was devoted to her family and truly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a very active and longtime member of Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church for more than 50 years.

Darlene is survived by her children Pam (Brian) Hall, Amy (special friend Bob Lueders) Holman, Russell (Mary) Kutz, Roger Kutz, and Ann (Brett) Berndt; grandchildren Linae (special friend Aaron), Daniel (Trina), Briana (special friend Clayton), Ashley, Scott (Sarah), Lee, Emily, Madeline, and Matthew; and great-grandchildren Dillon, Tessa, Zoey, Aurora, Emmitt, and a February-arriving baby. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. Darlene is preceded in death by her husband Vernon and her mother Rena.

A funeral service for Darlene will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Drive, in West Bend, with the Rev. Joseph Fisher presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, from 1-2:45 p.m. Interment of cremains will take place at Washington County Memorial Park at a later date.
