Frank M. Farkas, 82

Frank M. Farkas was born to eternal life on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at the age of 82.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Constance (nee Moravetz); and siblings, Joseph, George and Dorothy Carson.

He is survived by his dear children, Frank (Toni), Cynthia (James) Schwarzinger, Daniel (Paulette) and Elizabeth (Scott) Devereux; grandchildren, Brian (Jessica), Stephanie Farkas, Cassie, Cameron, and Corey Schwarzinger, Samantha (John) Vollmar, Shannan (Jason) Hornby, Sable (Ryan) Van Engel; and Chelsea and Bradley Devereux; great-grandchildren, Johanna and Julia Hornby and Everett Van Engel; brother, Paul (Agnes) Farkas; and sister, Mary Ann Mosoriak. Frank is a brother-in-Law to Anne Farkas and Chuck Carson, and is also survived by other relatives and friends, especially Helen Scheer.

Frank opened Farkas DX in 1955 on Silver Spring Drive in Glendale. While some thought that he was a workaholic, he had found his passion and purpose early in life. He loved what he did for a living, spending his waking hours working on or reading about cars. Frank never retired, running Farkas Automotive on Bradley Road in Brown Deer until his death. He was a devout Catholic, a loving father and grandfather, a great mentor and a role model. Frank will be missed not only by his family and friends, but by the many customers that he served throughout his long career.

A memorial visitation will be held at Zwaska Funeral Home, 4900 W. Bradley Road, Brown Deer, on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, from noon to 3 p.m., with a prayer service at 3 p.m. Private interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice in Frank’s name are appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at Aurora Grafton Medical Center for their loving care of Frank.
