Thomas “Tom” F. Appel, 68, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013.
Tom was born on Nov. 19, 1944, in Milwaukee to Henry and Odessa (nee
Seeger) Appel. Tom was a graduate of Milwaukee Boys Tech and went on to
serve in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.
Tom married Patricia “Pat” in 1974 in Milwaukee. He enjoyed hunting,
fishing, reading and spending time with his family especially his
grandchildren. Tom was a dedicated employee of Langer Roofing and Sheet
Metal, Inc. for more than 43 years. He was a member of the United Union
of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers AFL-WO Local No. 65.
Tom is survived by his wife Pat; children Kim (Jim Wrobleski) Appel,
Nicole Huenerbein, and Shawn (Jodi); seven grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother Kenny
(Cheryl), sister Jan (Bill) Zahn, and many brothers-in-law,
sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. Tom is

A memorial service for Tom will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013,
at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend.
Gathering will take place at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until time of
service on Thursday, June 20, 2013. Inurnment will take place at
Wisconsin Memorial Park at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Horizon Hospice,
the staff at the Courage Clinic in the Froedtert Hospital Clinical
Cancer Center for their care and compassion for Tom during this time.
