James E. Hartmann, 52


James “Jim” Edward Hartmann, 52, of Oshkosh, formerly of Adell passed away suddenly Monday, June 24, 2013. He was born March 2, 1961, in Sheboygan, son of Jerome and Patricia Hartmann.

He attended Lightfoot School in Sheboygan Falls where he excelled in swimming winning many medals. He graduated in 1979. After graduation, he worked for Hiller’s Cheese Factory in Belgium and later at Leisner Soil in Jackson.

Jim was baptized and confirmed at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Batavia. He had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed attending local church services. He was a very kind and gentle soul, very thoughtful and was always thinking of others. He enjoyed reading and spending time outdoors and was always a big help on the farm.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his loving parents: Jerry and Pat Hartmann of Adell, and sisters: Julie (Keith) Breuer of West Bend, Jeanette (Gary) Baier of Hartford, Joanne (Mike) Reseburg of West Bend, Lori Doucette (fiancé: Dan Andre) of Peshtigo. Also survived by nieces: Rachel (Chris) Bauer, Kelsey and Cassie Doucette and Megan Reseburg, nephews: Brandon Hartmann, Cody Breuer, and Mitchell Reseburg, great-nephews: Austin and Levi Bauer, Ayden Hartmann, and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Wilfred and Elva Strack, Wallace and Mildred Hartmann, and cousin: Matthew Strack.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 27 at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth at 7 p.m. The Rev. Kurt Ziemann, pastor of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Batavia will officiate. Cremation has taken place.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jim’s name.
