Rosemary
“Rosie” Wickman (nee Gengler), 77, reunited with her husband, Norbie, on
Thursday, Feb.
28, 2013. Rosie was born on Jan. 5, 1936 in the town of
Barton to Frank and Eleanore (nee Koenigs) Gengler. She married Norbert
P. Wickman on Oct. 30, 1953 at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church
in Barton.
Rosie is survived by her daughters Jacalyn (Jeffrey) Flack of Crystal
Lake, Ill., Beverly (George) Reuter of Houston, Connie (William) Cox of
Germantown, and Kelly Sackett of Germantown. She is further survived by
her grandchildren Kathryn (Ciaran) Mulcahy, Ryan and Brandyn Flack,
Kevin and Kyle Reuter, Ashley, Gregory, and Tyler Cox, Taylor, Colin,
and Payton Sackett; sisters Carol Avrill and Arlene (Harold) Schultz;
brothers F. “Butch” (Barb) Gengler and Ralph (Carla) Gengler; and many
other nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. Rosie is preceded in
death by her husband Norbie, parents Frank and Eleanore, brother-in-law,
sister-in-law, niece, and nephew. A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosie
will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Holy Angels Catholic
Church, 138 N. Eighth Ave. in West Bend with the Rev. Gerald Brittain
presiding. There will be no formal visitation with the family
beforehand. Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial
Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Holy Angels
Catholic Church or the American Lung Association of Wisconsin (13100 W.
Lisbon Road #700, Brookfield, WI, 53005-2508).
The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Robert Gibson
for his dedicated friendship and professional guidance provided to Rosie
throughout her years.
Also, the family wishes to thank the nursing staff on the third floor at
Froedtert St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend for their outstanding care
for Rosie during her stay.
