Adolph J. ‘Addy’ Dieringer, 84
 

Adolph J. "Addy" Dieringer, 84, of Woodland Road, town of Port Washington, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Aurora Health Care Center in Grafton.

He was born on May 31, 1928, to Thomas and Olive Gremminger Dieringer in the town of Auburn, near Campbellsport. He and his family lived in Fond du Lac briefly and later moving to farm in Belgium in 1948.

On June 9, 1951, he married Jean M. Barnes of Newburg at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredonia. Together they raised their family in the town of Port Washington. Jean preceded him in death on June 29, 2007.

Addy was a truck driver for many years. He drove for the former Olsen Transportation and CW Transport of Grafton for over 27 years. He later drove for his brother, Tom Dieringer at NFO, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed tending his yard, tinkering in the garage while listening to German polka music. He could fix almost anything.

He is survived by his children, Rick (Karen) Dieringer of Saukville, Diane (Tom) Clark of Campbellsport, Doreen (Tom) Thill of Fredonia, Debbie (Don) Wollner of Newburg, Denise (Dan) Utecht of Campbellsport and Dean (Chris) Dieringer of Saukville. He is further survived by 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis (the late Ed) Stemper of Fredonia and Betty (the late Pete) Grant of Carterville, Ga.; his brothers, Andrew "Andy" (Audrey) Dieringer of Port Washington, Tom (Barb) Dieringer of Belgium and Francis "Butch" (Pat) Dieringer of St. Lawrence; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his sister, Lucille Odekirk; and his brother, Greg Dieringer.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 6 p.m. at the Poole Funeral Home, 203 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington.

Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday before the service. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Port Washington.
