Alice L. Stampfl, nee Wendorf, of West Bend, formerly of Slinger, died on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Froedtert Health St. Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 96 years. She was born on June 29, 1916 in Milwaukee to the late Louis and Martha (nee Petzold) Wendorf.
On Nov. 9, 1935, she was united in marriage to John Stampfl. John predeceased May 1973.
In 2001, she married John Grassinger. He predeceased May 25, 2004.
Survivors include two children, Janet Ramstack of Waukesha and James (Rose) Stampfl of Milton, W.Va.; two grandchildren, David Deku and Katherine (Michael) Krueger; four great-grandchildren John, Steve, Jake and Joey; and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A private gathering was held with services officiated by Chaplain David Stone of Cedar Community. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Graceland Cemetery, Milwaukee.
