Elmer Possley, 95
Elmer Possley, 95, of West Bend, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at
Libby’s House Assisted Living Community in Plymouth.
He was born on May 1, 1917, in the town of Belgium, Ozaukee County, to
the late John and Mary (nee Jentges) Possley. He was united in marriage
to Florence Wagner on July 17, 1956, in Waukesha. After their marriage
the couple lived in Waukesha for 23 years until moving to West Bend in
1979. Florence passed away on Aug. 26, 2002.
Elmer was employed at R.T.E. Corp. in Waukesha for 23 years until
retiring in 1979 and he was a lifetime member of the R.T.E. Service
Club. He enjoyed building model gas engines and displaying the models at
steam engine shows.
He is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister, Elenora
(Ambrose) Wagner, and a brother, Leroy (Ella) Possley.
A funeral service in remembrance of Elmer will be held on Friday, March
8 at 11 a.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St.,
West Bend. Chaplain Bob Lantz will officiate and burial will follow in
Waubeka Union Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday
from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
