Nathan L. Dahl, age 26, of West Bend, found peace and was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2013.
He was born on Oct. 26, 1986, in Mount Prospect, Ill., to Jeffrey and Rita (nee Piotter) Dahl. At a young age Nathan moved with his family to West Bend and graduated from West Bend East High School in 2005. While in high school, Nathan was a star running back for the football team. He also enjoyed participating in Track and ran in various sprints and relays. Following high school, Nathan earned a degree in business management from Moraine Park Technical College and was employed as a sheet metal worker for PMI Manufacturing. Nathan was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed being outdoors and spending time at his family’s cabin.
Nathan is survived by his loving parents, Jeff and Rita Dahl of West Bend; his brother, Christian Dahl of West Bend; his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Renate Piotter of Oshkosh; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leslie and Lillian Dahl.
A funeral service in remembrance of Nathan will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 7 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend. The Rev. Joseph Fisher of Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorials in honor of Nathan will be used to help preserve the outdoors and wildlife that he enjoyed.
