Harriett J. Nack,
Harriett J. Nack (nee Goll), beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother and great-grandmother found peace on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the age of 80. She was born in Milwaukee and was raised in Lewistown, Mont. during the war. That is where she acquired her love of the outdoors and mountains. She was a lifelong entertainer and did a country music show in the early days of television on WTMJ Channel 4. She was involved in many community variety shows and later in life played with the Sweet Violets, a band that donated their time to entertain senior residents. She was known to sit in with bands and jam. She was a talented musician and a beautiful singer.
Harriett worked for St. Joseph’s Hospital West Bend for 16 years as a unit clerk, a job she truly loved. As an avid traveler, she saw most of the United States in her travel trailer with her husband. She also enjoyed many camping trips with her mother, children and grandchildren. The family campout was a yearly event she looked forward to. She always had her fishing pole packed just in case she found a river that might have a fish or two waiting to be caught. Cherished wife of Roland W. Nack of Jackson. Loving mother of Tracy Thomas, Judith (George) Stippich and William (Lisa) Drost. Stepmother of the late Kathy Nack, the late Steven Nack, Linda (Bob) Miller, Barbara (Joe) Dolan, Anthony (Kathy) Nack and Peter Nack. Grandmother of Jason (Jenny) Otto, Kristie (Jeremy) Buss, Julie (Brandon) Sarg, Kimberly (Jon) Gloege and Aaron Drost. Proud great-grandmother of five beautiful children.
The visitation will be held at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend) on Wednesday, March 20 from 3:30-5:45 p.m. followed by a service at 6 p.m. A private family burial will be held at Forest Home Cemetery on Friday, March 22 at 11 a.m.
Harriett lived a full happy life in which she was blessed with many interests, talents and gifts. Harriett had a wicked sense of humor and was an eloquent conversationalist. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones.
