Roman Bladzik, 83|
Bladzik of Lincoln Boulevard in Cedarburg passed away at Cedar Springs
in Cedarburg early Sunday morning, March 24, 2013. He was 83 years old.
Roman was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 10, 1929, the son of John and Ann
Bloegett Bladzik. Following his schooling, he proudly served in the U.S.
Army during the Korean War. On March 17, 1953, he was united in marriage
with Carol Hendricks in Chicago. Roman was a material handler at
Caterpillar in Milwaukee, retiring in 1985 after more than 30 years on
the job. Roman and Carol moved to South Carolina, then moved to Fredonia
in 1998. They later moved to Cedarburg in 2007.
Roman loved gardening and had flower and vegetable gardens wherever he
lived. He especially loved tending his rose bushes. Roman also enjoyed
animals of all kinds. He was a quiet, thoughtful man who enjoyed helping
others. Roman is survived by his wife, Carol of Cedarburg; and their
four children, R.J (Susan) Bladzik of Anderson, S.C., Randy (Rhonda)
Bladzik of New Ulm, Minn., Carla (Kendall) Thistle of Fredonia and
Cheryl (Roger) Rodeghier of Sussex. He is further survived by nine
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene (Pat) Bladzik
of Oak Creek; a sister, Patricia Schwartz of South Milwaukee; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. today, March 26, at the Eernisse
Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. Rita Bert will preside.
The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home today from 2 p.m.
to 5 p.m.
