Donald ‘Don’ C. Hoffman, 84


Longtime Thiensville resident Donald “Don” C. Hoffman was born to eternal life on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the age of 84. Don was born Feb. 26, 1929, the son of Clarence and Inez Hoffman.

He married Carol Eisch on Oct. 16, 1954 in Green Bay. They moved to Thiensville in 1964.

Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol; son, Brian (Linda) Hoffman of Milwaukee; grandson, Joel (Amanda) Cohen of Fox Point; great-grandson, Alan Cohen of Fox Point; and inlaws, George Ovans of Shawano, Gene (Pat) Eisch of De Pere and Ihla (Marty) Zehren of Green Bay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with other relatives and many great friends.

Don was preceded in death by his son, Brent Hoffman; and his sister, Bernie Ovans.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Lumen Christi Catholic Church in Thiensville. Burial was at Allouez Catholic Cemetery in Allouez, next to his son, Brent.

Don was a U.S. Army veteran and the former comptroller at Concours Motors, with over 30 years of service there.

The family gives special thanks to the staffs of Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital and Cedar Springs Health & Rehabilitation for the wonderful care they provided Don.

Memorials to the American Heart Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.
