Joseph B. Scharrer,
Joseph B. “Chuck” Scharrer, 88, of the town of Addison passed away
peacefully Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Cedar Lake Health Care
Center. He was born Nov. 1, 1924, in the town of Addison to Frank and
Elizabeth (nee Hoefgen) Scharrer and married Marion H. Reinders on May
21, 1949, in Saukville. She preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 2003.
Joe was a life-long dairy farmer on the family farm. He enjoyed
sheepshead and a good prank.
Joseph is survived by his three children: Edie (Dan) Kapellan of
Plymouth, Mark (Brenda) of Allenton and Carolyn (Jerry Priesgen)
Scharrer of West Bend, four grandchildren: Nicole (Mike) MacKinnon, Alex
Kapellan and Rachel and Heather Scharrer, and two great-grandchildren:
Camden and Ayleen MacKinnon. He is further survived by his brother Frank
(Gladys) Scharrer of Allenton and nieces, nephews and other relatives
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Scharrer,
his wife, Marion, three sons: Bill, Paul and Larry, and two sisters:
Maggie Jungwirth and Anna Scharrer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 3, 2013, at 7 p.m.
at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Lawrence with the Rev. David
Edassery presiding. Burial will be Saturday in St. Matthias Cemetery in
Nabob. The family will greet relatives and friends for a period of
visitation on Friday, at the church from 4-6:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers
memorials are appreciated.
