Matt explored several types of employment opportunities. He loved
animals and spent time working on a farm and at a dog kennel. He enjoyed
holidays with the family and going to the movies with his dad. Matt
enjoyed collecting Army memorabilia and was very proud of his knife
collection. He loved football, but unfortunately for his family he
supported the Chicago Bears!
A memorial service to celebrate Matt’s life will be held on Friday, May
31 at 6:45 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington
St. West Bend). The Rev. Matthew Short will officiate. Visitation will
be at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of service
at 6:45 p.m. A light supper will follow at the funeral home.
Matt’s disabilities made his life here on earth a challenging and often
frustrating one. Matt was able to donate organs and tissue to improve
the health of others. He will live on in the lives of many, giving his
own life more purpose. Our family is thankful for the good times we
enjoyed with Matt, but also for the fact that he is now healthy and at
peace in heaven.
