Gertrude B. Korth, 87


Gertrude B. Korth (nee Hagert), 87, of Juneau, passed away on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church, 4001 S. 68th St., Milwaukee, with the Rev. Charlie Vann officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church in Milwaukee. Burial will take place at the Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee.

Gertrude was born the daughter of Otto and Rosa (nee Kunstmann) Hagert on Feb. 13, 1926, in Milwaukee. She was a graduate of Custer High School. Gertrude was united in marriage to Frederick E. Korth on Nov. 27, 1948, in Milwaukee. She was employed as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Northdale Lutheran Church in Tampa, Fla., and also St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau where she was an active member of her church.

Gertrude is survived by: her children, Jackie (Pat) Finn of Chicago, Carrie (Glenn) Bartsch of Greendale and Gene (Diane) Korth of Iron Ridge; her nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frederick; and three brothers and four sisters.

Memorials may be made to Northdale Lutheran School in Tampa, Fla.
