Vernon A. Schultz, 84, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. He was born on Aug. 14, 1929, to the late Baldwin and Ella (nee Jaeger). He married Marcella (nee Voigt) on Aug. 25, 1951, in Richmond, Va. He served in the Army from 1951-53 during the Korean Conflict. Vernon worked various jobs throughout his life, retiring from The Threshold at age 81. He enjoyed working and cutting wood. He especially loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marcella; cherished daughters, Maxine (Craig) Zuest of Hartford, Nancy (special friend Gerry) of West Bend, Yvonne (Jerry) Thielke of Jackson, Sherie Schultz of West Bend and Michele (Dan) Ellenbecker of Newburg; beloved grandchildren Travis, Brennan and Tyler Groh, Cody (special friend Janelle Byrum) Ott, and Ben Ellenbecker. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Anthony; grandson, Cory Ott; siblings, Ilma, Mabel, Florence and Elmer; and other relatives. The funeral service will be on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Davidís Star Lutheran Church (2750 Davidís Star Drive, Jackson, WI 53037) with the Rev. Kurt Loescher presiding. The visitation will be at the church on Friday from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Davidís Star Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Davidís Star.
