Jimmy E. Troeller, 77


Jimmy “Jim” E. Troeller, 77, of Rhinelander and formerly of Hartford, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at the Country Terrace of Rhinelander.

Jimmy was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Hartford to Hilda (nee Blank) and Edwin Troeller.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Jimmy was a member of the Hartford Conservation and Gun Club and the Hartlake Snowmobile Club for many, many years.

Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Army — National Guard. He served active duty with the 32nd Division at Fort Lewis, Wash. He later worked for Riley Tank and Brenner Tank Services. After his retirement, he built a home in Rhinelander where he spent the last 16 years.

Jimmy is survived by his stepbrothers, Gene (Jeanette) Schneider of Rhinelander and Glenn (Shirley) Schneider of Montgomery, Texas, and his stepsister, Mary (Russell) Wagner of Hartford. He is further survived by other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Hilda Troeller; stepmother, Margaret Troeller; stepbrother, John (Mary) Schneider; and his nephew, Karl Schneider. Funeral services for Jimmy will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Falck officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hartford Conservation and Gun Club, Wisconsin Eye Institute or the charity of one’s choice are appreciated.

Interment on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
