Betty J. Freese
Betty J. Freese of Cullman, Ala. (formerly of Cedarburg) passed away at
home on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013,after a brief illness.
She was born in New Castle, Pa., to Sara (Artz) and Fredrick Dangle. On
July 23, 1949, she married John (Skinny) Freese. Following their
marriage they moved to Wisconsin. Betty was a founding member of Faith
Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
She was avid seamstress and her house was always spotless. Betty enjoyed
working as a waitress at some of the best restaurants in the Milwaukee
area. In the early 1980s Betty partnered with a good friend to open a
bakery in Thiensville, The Bakers Space.
She loved being generous to her children and grandchildren.
On Oct. 7, 1991, unexpectedly, Betty lost the love of her life, Skinny.
Betty leaves behind two daughters, Paula Ann (Ron) Wright of Cullman,
Ala., and Susan Lee (John) Gonring of West Bend; five grandchildren,
Kali Gonring (dear friend Justin Stone), Larissa Gonring and Adam
Gonring, April Wright and Amy (Paul) Butcher; a sister Arlene (Dangle)
Eithier; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends In addition to
her husband, Betty was predeceased by her brothers and their wives,
Richard and Yvonne Dangle and Robert and Colleen and Teruko Dangel, and
brother-in-law Paul Ethier.

A gathering will take place on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, from 2-2:45 p.m.
at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend (1420 W. Paradise
Drive). A graveside service will take place at 3 p.m. at Washington
County Memorial Park.
