Carmen W. Christman, 74


Carmen W. Christman, 74, of Slinger, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 7, 1939, in Hartford, to Loiree (nee Mathwig) and Marvin Christman. He was united in marriage to Maureen Heder on Sept. 23, 1961, at St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger.

Carmen liked tinkering in his garage, NASCAR, Green Bay Packers football, keeping up with his eight grandchildren and dog sitting Mollie. He enjoyed his family and the time spent with them. He will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Maureen; loving children, Peggy (Brad) Kuhn of Slinger, Pam (Andy) Zipperer of Rubicon, Paul Christman of Slinger, Cindy (Troy) Schulz of Canton, Ga.; cherished grandchildren, Troy and Eric Kuhn, Maggie and Hannah Zipperer, Cassidy and Kelly Christman, and Sadie and Savannah Schulz; siblings, Carole Henke and Kevin (Mary) Christman. Carmen is further survived by nieces, nephews, other dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loiree and Marvin Christman, his brother-inlaw, Melvin Henke, and uncle, Stanley Mathwig.

Memorial Mass for Carmen will be held Sunday Oct. 6, 2013, at 5 p.m. at St. Peterís Catholic Church, 200 E. Washington St., Slinger, with the Rev. Richard Stoffel officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday at St. Peter Catholic Church from 3-5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
