Edward L. Pohle,
L. Pohle, M.D., of Thiensville, passed away at Lasata Care Center on
Wednesday Oct. 2, 2013 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife
Susan (nee Sisson), children Steven Pohle and Kristin (Paul) Sims,
granddaughter Calista Sims and his siblings Betsy Schneider and William
(Sarah) Pohle. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Herbert and
Elizabeth Pohle. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
There will be a memorial reception held in Ed's honor on Saturday Oct.
12, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, 423
N. Main St in Thiensvill. Ed graduated with honors from the University
of Wisconsin Medical School and was the former Chief of Dermatology at
Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee. He was a direct descendent of Francis
Scott Key, who wrote the lyrics to our national anthem “The
Star-Spangled Banner.” Ed proudly served his nation as a lieutenant
commander in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid golfer and a member of the
Knights of Columbus. The family wishes to thank Lasata Care Center for
their compassionate care. Memorials in Ed’s name to the National
