Joyce Margaret Hardegen, 83, of West Bend was born to eternal life on Oct. 11, 2013.
She was born to the late Alfred and Alice Hardegen on April 9, 1930, in Trenton. She married Roland Wolf on May 24, 1950, in West Bend, where they remained and built their family.
Joyce had a love for dancing, polka music, bike riding and a passion for baking.
She was a woman of formidable strength, who was the root and foundation of her family. Joyce’s’ greatest accomplishments were her children. Joyce will forever be remembered through the unconditional love, kindness and generosity she shared with the world and passed on to three generations.
Joyce is survived by her five children: Rodney (Karen) Wolf, Cynthia (John) Pickhard, Charles Wolf, Keith (Nola) Wolf and Douglas (Laura) Wolf; 11 grandchildren: Katie, Kristen, Wayne, Amanda, Kassie, Krystal, Carrie, Robert, Daniel, Alicia and Malorie; and two great-grandchildren: Austin and Kendra. She is further survived by her siblings: Rose Ahsinger, Mona Voigt and Richard Hardegen, her faithful and loyal companion, Jake, and other relatives and friends. Awaiting her in eternal joy is her dear sister, Jean Rose, sons Terry Roland and Michael Jay, and husbands Roland Wolf and Hank Waldeck.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at 4 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with the Rev. David Schoob officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. and also Wednesday from 3 p.m. until services.
Memorials may be made in Joyce’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
