Bonnie Fay Johanning (nee Lacy), 78, of Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at the Kathy Hospice, West Bend, surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born Oct. 10, 1935, in Laona, to Rinda J. (nee Waggoner) and Clay N. Lacy. She married Robert W. Johanning Sr. on March 5, 1957, in Lake County, Ill.
She was an avid reader, adored her grandchildren, a longtime member of Northbrook Church and a wonderful friend to many. Bonnie will be remembered for always being honest.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Bob Johanning; loving children, Linda (Dale) Boedeker of West Bend, Robert “Bobby” (Vanessa) Johanning of Sussex, Kerry Ann (Jeffrey L.) Luczak of Pewaukee and Jane Runge of Cedarburg; cherished grandchildren, Nicole (Joshua) Hall, Michael (fiancé Anna Boettcher) Boedeker, William and Alicia Johanning, Jeffrey W. (Nikki) Luczak, Wesley (Molly) Luczak, Cheri (Josh) Hennes, and Russell and Steven Runge; cherished great-grandchildren, Jeffrey E. Luczak, Autumn Hennes, and expected great-granddaughter Annabelle Luczak; dear siblings, Donald (Janet) Lacy Sr. and Margaret (Eugene) Mara; brother-in-law, Ole Powell; and sisterin- law, Joan Johanning. Bonnie is further survived by several nieces and nephews, other dear relatives, and many, many treasured friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; her sister, Betty Powell, sister-in-law, Eugenia Lynch and brother-in-law, David Johanning.
Funeral services for Bonnie will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Boerner officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Northbrook Church Building Fund, The Eye Institute of Wisconsin or Kathy’s Hospice in West Bend are appreciated.
Interment at Sunnyside Cemetery, Lannon.
