Grant Schoen, was called home to heaven on Oct. 17, 2013, at the young age of 10.
Grant was born on June 4, 2003, in Mequon, the son of Jeffrey A. and Tammy S. (Nee V a n d e n Langenberg). Grant attended Thorson Elementary School in Cedarburg and was in the fifth grade.
Grant enjoyed playing games with friends at North Shore United Soccer Club U11Blue, Cedarburg Mercs/Select Baseball, Rockhounds Baseball, Cedarburg Matdogs, Skateland inline hockey, Cedarburg recreation basketball, track and field, Cedarburg flag football and Cub Scouts.
Grant’s favorite hobbies were camping, fishing, skiing/ snowboarding, traveling, baking and eating chocolate chip cheese cake, swimming, music (guitar and trumpet), Banjo (his orange tabby kitten), Minecraft, Skilanders, Wii, Xbox and iPad mini. Grant was up for trying anything. He just loved having fun with friends.
Grant is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Tammy; sisters, Arienne and Katrina; grandparents, Mary (the late Jerry) Vanden Langenberg and Bob (Vi) Schoen; aunts and uncles, Pam (Dave) Zak; godparents, Wendy (Craig) Rueden, Keith (Mary) Vanden Langenberg, Kevin and Ann Vanden Langenberg, Kim Hecker, Tina Kramer, Ronica Kramer, Kellie Kramer, Todd (Shannon) Kramer and Brian Schoen; numerous loving cousins, second cousins, family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today, Oct. 22, 2013, at 7 p.m. at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church today from 3 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
