Harland L. Sutton,
Harland L. Sutton, 89, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Monday,
Oct. 21, 2013, at Fields of Washington County, West Bend.
Funeral services for Mr. Sutton will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013,
at 11 a.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road,
Beaver Dam, with the Rev. Sonja Parr officiating. A visitation will also
be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton.
Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Beaver Dam American
Legion Post No. 146.
Harland Lyle was born on July 28, 1924, the son of Alfred and Angeline
(Wright) Sutton in Beaver Dam. He was a graduate of Beaver Dam High
School. On Jan. 3, 1948, he was united in marriage to Kathleen M.
Mahoney in Milwaukee.
Harland proudly served his country in the United States Navy during
World War II stationed in the Pacific. Harland had been employed for
many years with the city of West Bend as a heavy equipment operator.
Harland is survived by his wife of 65 years Kathleen; two sons: David
(Judy) Sutton of Littleton, Colo., and Daniel (Ruth) Sutton of West
Bend; two grandsons: Tom (Alex) Sutton and Daniel (Tina) Sutton Jr.; and
great-grandsons: Jack, Ben and Will Sutton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Merlin, and sisters:
Marjorie Nitschke, Eula Nitschke and Bernice Sutton.
The Sutton family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff
