Gerald C. Kuehn, 86, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013. He was born in Barton on Oct. 20, 1927. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1945-1948. He worked for Washington County Highway Department for 13 years and West Bend Transit for 22 years. Jerry enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (nee Cooper); brother, James Kuehn; daughters, Pamela (Robert) Beach and Lynn (William) Gonwa; son, Thomas (Jill) Kuehn; stepchildren, Debra (Daniel) White and Daniel (Sue) Martens; grandchildren, Sarah (Curt) Schroeder, Kari (Jeff) Koepsell, Ryan (Patty) Gonwa, Joseph Kuehn, Lindsay Kuehn, Ashley White, Alex White, Mallory Martens (fiancé Spencer) and Morgan Martens; and five great-grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cecelia (nee Leitheiser) Kuehn. The memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive) at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J. Eric Kirkegaard presiding. The visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27 from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. Military honors will take place immediately following the service with a luncheon to follow.
