Richard Buch, 67, entered God’s Kingdom on Aug. 28, 2013, in Grand Marais, Minn., where he had lived for the past several years. He was born Oct. 17, 1945, the son of Marie (nee Kachelmeier) and Nicholas Buch, of Slinger. Rick spent his high school years at St. Francis Prepatory Seminary, graduating in 1963.
Collecting polka records was his passion and he enjoyed the time he spent as the host of “The Dick Phillips” polka radio show at WTKM in Hartford. Richard is survived by two brothers, Joe (Christine) and Gerard Paul (Debbie) Buch, nephews, Kevin and Christopher Buch and nieces, Anne (Sean) Moore and Beth (Dennis) Christensen. He also leaves behind four great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins and friends. Parents, Marie and Nicolas, and an infant brother, George, preceded him in death.
A private internment of cremains was held at old St. Peter’s Cemetery, Slinger. The memorial Mass to celebrate Richard’s life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Slinger.
