George J. Greulich, 89


George J. Greulich, 89, passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.

He was born in Goldendale, Wis., on Nov. 5, 1923.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Madalyn F. Casalena in 1947 at Holy Rosary Church in Milwaukee.

After marriage, the couple lived in Germantown, Milwaukee and later in West Bend. He was employed as a forklift mechanic for more than 25 years, retiring in 1986.

He is survived by three children, Gregory (Maria), Geoffrey (Cheryl) and Christine Dalton; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Case. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Francis; wife, Madalyn; son, Girard; and sisters, Babe Schmahl, Marie Schneider, Florence Mc-Neece, Jeanette Schlee and Harriet Doerr.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 4 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (406 Jefferson St., West Bend, WI 53090) with the Rev. John Radetski presiding. The visitation will be at the church on Friday, Sept. 20 from 2-3:45 p.m. Private inurnment of cremains will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
