Phyllis Quenette Hader, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday,
Sept. 23, 2013, at the Gardens of Hartford surrounded by her adoring
Quenette was born Oct. 9, 1927, to Vivian and Gustav Johnson in Antigo.
She was united in marriage to James E. Hader of Hartford on April 2,
1949, in Omro. Lovingly, they raised three children in Hartford.
Quenette most enjoyed spending time with her loving family. She was a
devoted wife whose constant caring for her family strongly influenced
each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She greatly
enjoyed her wonderful life. She loved to travel, and she was a big fan
of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. Quenette liked to
read, and she had a great talent for creative crafts.
Quenette is survived by her daughters, Jamie (David) Spuhler of Hartford
and Cynthia (James) Schulteis of Slinger. She was the proud grandmother
of Jessica (Steve) Jost, Jeremy (Angela) Spuhler, Nathan (special friend
Kelly) Hill, Justin (Dana) Hill, Ashley (Chad) Wendt, Robert Schulteis,
Jeffrey (Tiffany) Hader and Steven Hader. She is also survived by her
great-grandchildren, Tanner, Teagan, Tayven, Kylie, Jalen, Cayden,
Claesson, Stellan, Braxton, Lucas, Mady and Jaxon. She is further
survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her
husband, James E. Hader, and her son, Keith E. Hader.
As per Quenette’s request, a private family service will be held at the
Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford, with the Rev. Jeff Schimp, Thursday,
Sept. 26, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Gardens of Hartford or to Gentiva
Hospice are appreciated.
Quenette’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Patti
Leithen, the staff at Aurora Health Center, the Gentiva Hospice and the
Gardens of Hartford for their compassionate care.
