Ida Covello, 94

Ida Covello entered into eternal life on Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at Deerview Meadows in Hartford surrounded by her loving family. She was 94 years old.
Ida was born July 18, 1920, in Philadelphia, the daughter of Antonio and Maria (nee Speranza) Barel. On June 1, 1946, she was united in marriage with Guy Covello, and the couple made their home in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Guy preceded her in death in 1975.
While in Pennsylvania, Ida was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (Swedesburg, Pennsylvania), the League of Women Voters and the Morning Risers bowling team. She held season tickets to the opera and theater, enjoyed dancing, traveling the world, volunteering at her church and helping anyone in need.
Ida moved to Hartford in 2005 to live with her family, and became a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church.
Ida is survived by her daughter Lorraine “Lori” (Kurt) Winkelman of Jackson, granddaughter Tina (Paul) Koch, great-grandchildren Chelsea and John Paul, and other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 428 Forest St. in Hartford. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m.-noon. Ida will be laid to rest beside her husband at Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Kilian Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
