Doris E. Pomahac, 96

Mrs. Doris E. Pomahac, formerly of West Bend, passed away Saturday evening at Harbor Club in Port Washington. She was 96 years old. Doris was born April 29, 1918, in Silver Creek, the daughter of Herbert and Freida (nee Lillge) Hartmann.
On Nov. 6, 1937, she was united in marriage with Ernest Pomahac in Batavia. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Doris worked as a receptionist for banks and financial institutions in the West Bend area before retiring in 1983. Doris was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church is West Bend.
Doris was a competitive athlete who played softball and golf in her younger years, and most recently enjoyed Wii bowling.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, entertaining, hosting parties, playing cards, traveling with her sister and sewing.
She loved music, played the organ and piano by ear, and was in a tap dancing class at 80 years old.
Doris is survived by her daughter Donna (the late Roger) Nehrbass of Port Washington and grandchildren: Christopher Nehrbass, Patrick (Michelle) Nehrbass and Jennifer (Orrin) Myers. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Madison and Delaney Nehrbass and Colette Myers, sister Janet Lau of Plymouth, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A time of remembrance will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 p.m.
She will be laid to rest beside Ernest at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donorís choice.
