Michael K. Goeman Sr., 69, of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at the Aurora Hartford Hospital.
Mike was born on Feb. 13, 1945, in Antigo, to Kenneth and Luella (nee Tatro) Goeman. He was united in marriage to Lynda Hofstad on April 14, 1989, in Las Vegas.
Mike was a proud Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed watching westerns and game shows, and was a great sports fan.
Mike also loved animals including the chickens on his hobby farm to his beloved German shepherd dogs. His giving nature and sense of humor will be missed dearly.
Mike is survived by his father, Kenneth Goeman of Hartford; his beloved wife, Lynda Goeman of Hartford; his loving children, Michael Goeman Jr. of Hartford; Michelle (Kamau) Leigh of Alaska; Jamie (Steve) Patin and Yviette Morris, both of Hartford; cherished grandchildren, Michael, Alexandria, Caitlyn and Emily Goeman, Branden Hofstad, Tosha and Amber Wallis, Zachery, Bryce and Braxton Patin, Devondra, Deedra and Montrell Morris, Chelsey (Jerry) Krueger, and Nicholas Goeman; cherished great-grandchildren, Xavier Krueger and Brayden Goeman; dearest siblings, Danny (Annette) of Hartford, Larry (Mary) of Slinger, Gary (Kristin) Goeman of Crandon, Charlene (Jay) Schaefer of Madison, Linda (Cathy Suedback) Goeman of Nashotah and Kurt (Judy) Goeman of West Bend; and one dear brother-in-law, Ron (Pat) Hofstad. He is further survived by many other treasured relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Luella Goeman; his parents-in-law, Mylford and Jeanie Hofstad; his son, Brett Goeman; his nephew and godson, Adam Goeman; and brothers-in-law, Dusty and Kevin Hofstad.
Funeral services for Michael will be held on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at 7 p.m. the Shimon Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Stelow officiating. Mikeís family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Michaelís family are appreciated. Inurnment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
