Gregory J. Ziebell,
J. “Greg” Ziebell, 58, of the town of Farmington, passed away on
Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, in hospice care at St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital
in Mequon surrounded by his family.
He was born on Nov. 28, 1955, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Harry
and Marguerite “Marge” (Slupinski) Ziebell, and on Aug. 9, 1980, he was
united in marriage to Connie Maiers in Cedarburg.
Greg was employed by Federal Tool and Engineering in Cedarburg for 35
years. He enjoyed coaching and coached nearly every sport. Greg was a
Kewaskum Gridiron seventh grade football coach and was a member of
Turners in Fillmore and the Farmington Athletic Club. He will fondly be
remembered for his love of fishing, the outdoors, golfing and riding his
tractor. Greg will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all
who knew him.
Those Greg leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife,
Connie; two children, Adam (Elisa) Ziebell of Milwaukee and Katie
Ziebell (fiancé, Chad Holl) of Saukville; a grandson, Elijah; three
brothers, Steve (Bethany) Ziebell of Port Washington, Michael (Renee)
Ziebell of Peoria, Ill., and Richard Ziebell; his mother and
father-in-law, Bill and Jane Maiers of Friendship; and brothers-in-law,
sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Greg will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16,
2014, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. The Rev. Edwin Kornath
will officiate and cremation will follow the traditional service.
T he Ziebell family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home
on Sunday from noon until the time of service.
