Joseph P. Faust, 96

Joseph P. Faust, 96, of Hartford, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford. Joe was born on March 19, 1917, in Neosho, to Frank and Clara (nee Lackas) Faust. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Collett on June 2, 1945, at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Hartford.

Joe retired from AO Smith, then worked part time locally for the First National Bank, and the Matenaer and the Shimon funeral home.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Beverly (Dennis) Oechsner of Hartford and Donna (Bill) Jackson of Menomonee Falls; cherished grandchildren, Eric (Liesel) Oechsner, Bryan (Heather) Oechsner, Christopher (Erin) Oechsner, Jennifer (Brian) Black, and Tyler (Jennifer) Jackson; cherished great-grandchildren, Michael, Josef, Alexander, Joshua, Cole, Dennison, Jonah, Jack, and Will Oechsner, and James Black; sister Lorraine MacPherson of Hartford: sisters-in-laws, Elayne Hefter of Brownsville, Carol (Paul) Wolff of Hartford, and Peggy (Doyle) Anderson of Riverside, Calif. Joe is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy of 56 years, parents, brother Jerome, and brothers and sisters-in-law Betty (Jerry) Schickert, Shirley (Gene) Simpson, Joseph Hefter, Gladys Faust and Doyle Anderson.

Mass of Christian Burial for Joe will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at 3 p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church (264 W. State St., Hartford, WI 53027) with the Rev. Michael Petrie and the Rev. Tim Bickel co-officiating.

Family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday at the church only from noon until the 3 p.m. Mass. Interment in St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Kilian Education Endowment Fund or the School Past and Future Fund.

The family would also like to thank the staff of Wellington Place and the Hospital Staff at Aurora Medical Center in Hartford.
